SharePoint Server 2010 Extravaganza Event Australia

Sydney Business and Technology User Group (@SBTUG) is proud to bring you a SharePoint Server 2010 evening, 28th October, 2009, at Microsoft, Sydney (Australia). Myself, Aaron Saikovski (Senior Consultant, Microsoft, Australia) and Alistair Speirs (Office Technology Specialist, Microsoft, Australia), along with Jamie Hutchins (Microsoft, Melbourne), will present on and demonstrate SharePoint Server 2010 and Office 2010 Integration for over two hours and we don't intend boring you with PowerPoint. The majority of the session will be based around demonstrations. If you're currently working with SharePoint Server 2007, then you'll get to know the key differences and value add areas. If you're new to SharePoint, then you're in for a treat!

It's a free event, though we ask you to register so we can adequately organize refreshments and seating for the evening. To register go to:

This is the same presentation I delivered at TechEd Australia last week. It was an extremely popular presentation and for all those who've since contacted me, I promise to upload the recorded demonstrations to either screencast or MyTube sometime over the next week.

SharePoint event with Joel Oleson Sydney and Melbourne in AUS

Quest are hosting a SharePoint event in both Sydney (7th July) and Melbourne (9th July).

I'll be doing a session on e-mail integration, management and storage in SharePoint - MOSS has mail! I'll be walking through the various options for routing e-mail to and sending e-mail from SharePoint, and pros and cons around using each one. As part of the overall equation, I'll be discussing the effectiveness of leveraging Exchange 2007 managed folders.
