Back in May 2005 I started an article mapping SharePoint versions to service packs and hot fixes. Late last year, Mindsharp, who hosts my blog site, moved to another blog environment and therefore my old article has never had details of any updates since August 2008.

I have received several emails asking me to continue on with this list of updates to version numbers. Also Todd Klindt in several of his netcasts keep sending people my way. So I've created an article on my blog web site: "How to find the level of SharePoint you are running". I hope you enjoy and if you find any information to include in the article, then do let me know.

There is a mistake in the "How to find the level of SharePoint you are running"
Dear Penny, Great share with the article of "How to find the level of SharePoint you are running". I am writing you this message to tell you that there is a mistake on http://www.sharepointdesignerstepbystep.com/Blog/Articles/How%20To%20find%20the%20SharePoint%20version.aspx ********Line from the post*********** 12.0.0.6535 MOSS 20071 or WSS 3.0 SP2 + December 09 cumulative Update (KB960010 + KB960011) ********************************** But according to KB977026 and KB977027, KB960010, and KB960011, Dec 08 CU is 12.0.0.6335 . I cannot find any public version is of 12.0.0.6535. Please correct the post then delete this comment. Best regards, Yunlong

Version error
Yunlog, yes 6535 is incorrect as are the hyperlinks - they refer to December 08 CU and not December 09. Article amended. Many thanks for the comment. Please keep the comments coming.
